How It Works
Perfect For
Standardize tags after a project review
Your team agreed to rename a tag across the whole project. Ask Rosie to find every asset with the old tag and switch it. You see the count before anything changes.
Pull a delivery collection by description
Press wants every approved image with a specific usage tag in a fresh collection by end of day. Describe the cut, Rosie proposes the collection, you confirm. The collection is built.
Step into a project you don't run
A colleague is out and you're covering. Ask what's been touched lately, who added the new tags, which collections changed. Rosie reads it back from the activity feed.
Key Benefits
Find by saying it
Ask for what you need by description, tag, rating, or any IPTC field. No filter to build first.
Bulk work, done at once
Re-tag, re-label, or move up to 10,000 assets in a single request.
Approve before anything changes
You see what will change before it runs. Nothing happens until you click yes.
Same access as the rest of your account
If you can't move that asset in the regular view, Rosie can't either.
Photos and footage never leave ReelStorage
Only the labels on your files reach the AI. The files themselves stay put.
Rosie sits inside the project you have open. You type what you want done, Rosie shows you what's about to happen, you click approve. Looking things up happens straight away; anything that would change a file waits for your click.
Things people ask Rosie
Phrase requests the way you'd phrase them to a colleague who knows the project. A few examples by what you're trying to get done.
To find things
- "Show me the five-star images in the wardrobe test folder"
- "Find every approved image tagged 'EU-press'"
- "Anything in the EPK Drop collection that's still pending approval"
- "Show me everything without any tags yet"
To organize things
- "Make a collection called Editor Cut and add every approved image to it"
- "Move everything tagged 'golden hour' in this folder into a new folder called Color Reference"
- "Tag every image I have selected with 'behind the scenes'"
- "Add Marcus to the EPK Drop collection as a viewer"
To fix metadata in bulk
- "Set the photographer credit to Mark Khuzam on every image in this folder"
- "Apply '© 2026 Spring Catalog Productions' as the copyright on the images I have selected"
- "Mark everything I have selected as five stars"
To check on the project
- "What got added to the project this week?"
- "Summarize the past week's activity"
- "List the tags this project is using"
How a change works
Before Rosie writes anything, you see a preview of what's about to happen. How many files, which field, the new value, where things are going. Nothing is written until you click yes.
If the preview isn't quite right, tell Rosie to adjust. Rosie runs a new preview with the change.
What Rosie won't touch
These are by design, not a list of things we'll get to later.
- Rosie won't delete anything. Not assets, not folders, not collections, not tags, not members. If something has to come out, you do it in the app.
- Rosie won't create new images, copy, or restyle anything. The creative work is yours. Rosie organizes what you already have.
- Rosie only sees the project you have open. To work in another project, switch to it and start a new conversation.
- Rosie can only do what your role can already do. If your access is view-only, Rosie can only look.
- Rosie won't send email for you. Approval invites and share-export emails keep coming from the normal screens.
What stays safe
Your photos, footage, and audio never leave ReelStorage. Only the text around them (filenames, tags, descriptions, IPTC fields, the shape of your folders) reaches the AI we use. The files themselves stay on our infrastructure.
The AI won't learn from your work. Our provider is contractually prohibited from training their models on anything we send. That's in writing.
Everything Rosie does is recorded. Your audit log captures the action, the assets affected, and the time, with your name on it. The log persists longer than the chat conversation.
Pricing and how to turn Rosie on
Rosie is included on every paid ReelStorage plan with a monthly usage allotment. An org owner has to switch Rosie on from organization settings. Rosie is off by default.
We may revise the monthly allotments as we learn how teams use Rosie. If that happens, you'll see it in the app and on your billing page before it takes effect.
